Yikes

April 14th, 2008

It’s halfway thorugh April and my junior year of college is coming to a close, which means summer is nipping at my heals and I am innondated with busy work and projects.  Aside from boring school work, my main priority right now is putting together a concert on behalf of the company i am now working for, radar.net (check it out).  I’m basically having a giant concert in my backyard with the aim to promote radar and get people to use it.  The thing i’m mose excited about is that fact that I will be headlining with a cast of Sedona all-star musicians.  Joining me will be Adam Wolin on drums, Paul morris on keys and guitar, Sean Neesley on bass, and Jenna Cunningham on vocals.  It’s going to be a fantastic show and will be a lot of fun.

After that, my main priority will be working on a new album this summer.  I plan on setting up a studio above my grandma’s garage where i can get some work done.  I counted last night that i have roughly 19+ songs to work from.  But as always, I’ve recently been dissatisfied with my older material in preference of my new material and thusly i’ve started to write again after months of almost none.   Oh well.   My good friend Billy Fitz, a really great drummer, is coming back to Sedona to play with me and help me arrange the songs which will be nice.  It will also allow me to put together a live band the play with this summer as well.  I can’t wait.  I feel a little overwhelmed right now and I wish i didn’t have to deal with school, but I’m confident everything will work out well.
