I just can’t seem to get away from sandwiches, which haunt me like sand between my toes. After working at Indian Gardens in Sedona, AZ for nearly 4 years, I start today working at Heidi’s New York Deli (a Denver chain). It seems a bit silly that as a college graduate, I cannot get a job doing anything else, but as of now, that is the case. Fortunately, I sandwich making is an art for me and I am pretty darn good at it. In fact, as soon as I get behind a sandwich board, I feel like a maestro conducting a delicious symphony of mustard melody. I hate to gloat, but my sandwiches have put world leaders to tears. The funny thing is that I never thought about liking this kind of work, its just what I’ve always done. I’m still not even sure how much i enjoy it, but i guess I’ll find out soon.

Well I’m here and now. Living in Denver has been fun so far. Has not been easy playing music yet, but I have only been here for a few weeks. Been listening to Simon and Garfunkel and Of Montreal exclusively, but have been seeing some really great shows. I saw Death Cab for Cutie a little while back at Red Rocks and it was incredible! Red Rocks is the most stunning venue, and Andrew Bird killed it opening for death cab. That boy can whistle! The Flaming Lips are playing at Red Rocks next month, so I am getting excited about seeing that too.
Today though, the day calls for “Busking”. For those who don’t know that is, its simply playing on the street for cashh $$$$$$$$$$ BOOYAA$$$$$$. Gonna makamille. Jenna Cunningham and I are going to go to Pearl Street in Boulder and practice/play on the streets all night.
Wish us luck.
Te amo,
D

Howdy,
I just returned from a grand trip to Denver, CO and i really liked the city. At this point its looking like I will be moving there to get some music and work going. Denver has everything!!! Tons of venues, and more importantly as an artist, tons of really good coffee shops to drink yerba matte. And, singer and bandmate Jenna Cunningham might be moving north up there too so all good things to come.
In the mean time, check out .
I was featured on it this week, which blew my mind! I don’t really know how or why, but it is very encouraging.
Well, I am an unemployed bum, so i have to go start looking for jobs in Denver if I’m going to make anything happen.
Word,
D
